When should I plan to arrive on campus?

Activities begin Friday morning and continue until early Sunday afternoon. Daytime activities include tours, academic and art sessions, affinity group gatherings, and much more!

Each class will have its own party on Friday evening (beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m.), and you don't want to miss this wonderful gathering for your class. On Saturday evening, the Big Dance will be held for all reunion classes from 7:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. The Champagne Toast in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens is from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

When you arrive on campus, your first stop should be your class headquarters tent on West Campus where you can pick up your registration packet with your name tags, schedule of events and locations, etc.

Can I bring my kids to reunions?

Yes! We offer many family friendly activities that you can enjoy together. Additionally, we offer specific Children’s Programming. See below for details.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING
On Saturday of reunion weekend, alumni and their children are invited to run wild in the Kids' Zone, located in Krzyzewskiville near Cameron Indoor Stadium. Kids will have a blast bouncing on the Blue Devil Bouncer, running through the inflatable Obstacle Course, or testing their skills in the Multi-sport Challenge. Children of alumni are also invited to participate in a soccer or basketball clinic. A Kid's Quad will be open on Friday and Saturday during the day. Parents can hang out and play with their children with the games, toys, and crafts provided, or may leave their children with on-site professional childcare providers from Thee Nanny Service for a limited amount of time (this service is available on a first-come first-served basis, and is free of charge).

Is childcare available?

The Reunions Office provides several resources for babysitting and child care. Rates vary, and arrangements for sitters must be made directly by class members.

Thee Nanny Service – (919) 601-3114 or theenannyservice@yahoo.com (Patricia Bass, contact); www.nannyservice.com

Parents Relief – (919) 567-3030 or parentsrelief@aol.com (Pat Wright, contact); www.parentsrelief.com, offer a variety of options, and should be contacted as soon as possible, as services are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

** Duke University and Alumni Affairs assume no liability or responsibility for any child care services, including the ones listed here.

A Kids' Quad (located next to Few Quad on West Campus) will be open from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Parents can hang out and play with their children with the games, toys, and crafts provided, or may leave their children with on-site professional childcare providers from Triangle Nanncy Service for a limited amount of time (this service is available on a first-come first-served basis, and is free of charge).

Why should I support my REUNION CLASS GIFT?

Especially in these economic times, we are reminded what is truly important to us: connections with people and places that we love – the very people and places that have made us who we are today.

Show your gratitude to Duke for the important role it has played in shaping your life by making a special commitment to the Annual Fund in honor of your reunion. Gifts to the Annual Fund help preserve and strengthen the Duke legacy and ensure that today's students receive access to the exceptional academic and life experiences that benefitted you during your time at Duke. Moreover, Annual Fund dollars are transformed into financial aid packages, laboratory equipment that helps train future scientists and engineers, and summer stipends for students engaged in research or pursuing service-learning opportunities such as DukeEngage.

Give Back

Make your commitment now by visiting the class website at 1965.dukereunions.com. Please consider making a multi-year pledge, payable in equal or variable installments over the next five years, to the Annual Fund of your choice. The full amount any multi-year commitment will be counted as part of your class's reunion gift to Duke and are put to immediate use for today's students.
