Ideas are more important than ever in our increasingly interconnected world. The Duke Idea was a four-year series of talks led by President Richard H. Brodhead in discussion with alumni, deans, faculty, and parents.  Topics focused on Duke's vision for the university of the 21st century and its place in shaping and serving society.  Thirty-three Duke Idea events were held in 24 cities across the nation and around the world, and were attended by 6,222 people.
