Fostering student-alumni collaboration

We’re the group of Duke students that helps to coordinate Duke Alumni Association programs for students. We want to involve students with the Alumni Association before graduation, introduce them to alumni who can offer career help and advice, and enhance Duke’s career and networking resources.

As a member of the board, you may participate in any of the following committees:

• The Regional Team meets on campus February through May, and partners with the DAA to create summer programming across the country. In addition to career & networking summer programming, this committee works with the Duke Alumni Association to support our annual Send-Off Parties.
   
• The Duke Legacy Committee oversees the alumni tours program for alumni who are returning to Duke for non-admissions related visits, and also reviews Duke traditions, such as Homecoming and Commencement, to ensure that the DAA remains a vital part of these university traditions. The Legacy team assists the DAA in direct programming for current legacy students on-campus as well as prospective legacy students visiting campus.
   
• The Networking Committee works with the staff Networking Coordinator to implement programs that connect students and alumni on-campus. Current programs include Duke Alumni Dinners, Duke Alumni Coffees, and the Fannie Mitchell Exchange. This committee works closely with the staff Networking Coordinator.
   
• The Affinity Committee is made up of key stakeholders from on-campus groups and clubs. This team works with the Director of Affinity Programs to recruit alumni back to campus for events and programming.
